I HATE PG&E!!!!!  
So, the power went out about two hours ago.

My laptop battery lasts about an hour and 15, cause I had it on the highest setting. And no wireless, cause no signal.

No AC.

Did I mention it's hotter than the seventh circle of hell???

So the last time I called PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric), they said 7am.

Tomorrow.

FUCK THAT SHIT!!!

So I had 14 minutes left on my battery, and thank you lord, the power came back!!!

The rowdy little ankle-biters have gone home to annoy their parents instead of me, the AC is on, the man is watching the season premiere of Burn Notice...I'm good now.

I'm such a whiny-ass, huh?

I'm defriending anyone that answers that.

I was hot on the power company's ass when they put me off from 5 am to 10 am. Let me tell you something, I do a lot of shit. I can handle bitchery and kids and nagging fucking next door neighbors. I. You're not whiney...I think it's wrong in this day and age that the power goes out at all. I mean we have the technology to build nuclear weapons so why not a better power supply system?

When I was younger, I used to kinda like it when the power went out because it was so peaceful then. Still don't mind it at times. Only thing I hate is I miss my computer now.

I can handle those temps if there is no humidity. I did fine during my visit to southern Spain.

Most people do not know that Indiana was mostly wetlands and forest when it was settled. Malaria was a real problem in this area until they discovered the cure.

I went out today and felt pretty good, yesterday, it was like trying to breath water the humidity was so high. :(

How are you doing with all the wild fires? Is the smoke bad in your area? I've not heard from many friends out that way and I've been worrying about you, and Boyd among others.

The air quality is really shit right now. Has been for about a month, because of the fire in the Santa Cruz mountains last month. We had just started to recover from that, and like 3 days later, we had the 8000-or-wtfever lightning strikes, and here we go again. If I had asthma, I'd be in deep shit. As it is, I take my allergy pills daily to stay ahead. But yeah, bad.

My youngest went to Oregon earlier this week with my SIL, and they passed three fires on I-5.

Crap, I cannot imagine passing that many fires while traveling. I really wish I could share the rain we've been getting. Last month we had the Coast Guard rescuing people in Morgan County (totally inland).

This morning's storm brought us another inch or so of rain, and all of the pets into my bed with one remarkable clap of thunder.

I live in a place that was once parks and light industrial so we are not on the 'modern' grid. We lose power here often. It IS frustrating.

Just missed the first 10 minutes of Burn Notice. It's a good show. And I just LOVE that "Michael"'s mom is Sharon Gless. She says his name and I get chills!
