Will someone tell me WHY I'm watching Vampire Diaries??

Seriously, why???

Oh...I know.

Cause they don't sparkle in the daylight.

And while it is totally lame, one of the girls is a direct descendent of "The Salem Witches"...radical...

...and Ian Sommerhalder is so. fucking. hot.

Not so much the other brother. The nice one.

I don't like nice boys.

*laughs* I've pretty much read all of LJ Smith's books when I was a teen, except for Vampire Diaries. I don't know why since I adore her Night World series and that has plenty of vampires.

I refuse to read or watch Teh Sparkle Family, aka Twilight, on general principles. My youngest daughter read them all. She's hooked, poor thing.

She read the Vampire Diaries, too. She was supposed to be watching this, but abandoned me for her dad and NCIS. She's addicted to that, too.

Dean could kick Edward's ass and not break a sweat.

I'm on the lame couch right along with you on this one. My excuse is that I actually own the original books and have been panting after Damon Salvatore for more than 10 years. He was my Edward back in the day. Well that and the fact that SPN comes on right after and I get to hear either J do the intro voice over thing. ;)

I tried to watch it with my daughter...
Ummm, I couldn't do it.
Though there were very pretty distractions. LOL.

But, if it helps on the lame-o-meter, I have read all of the sparkly vamp series. Mostly because of same daughter. And yeah, even took a boatload of kids to the movie. It's hard to continually explain that Lestat is a vamp, not this sensitive pretty boy.

Apparently we each have levels of lameness.
